It is hard as a CB fan to not feel a little hard done by the GGW. Everytime they have come online and refused to answer Chair/Dair questions; they have ended up discussing Dan with prominent Dair-shippers while basically ignoring any Chuck questions.
Today they finally confirmed that Dan sent the video into Gossip Girl, however they didn’t “believe” that his purpose was to isolate Blair from Chuck and Serena.
OK, take a moment to let it all sink in …
WTH??!!?? They were the ones that wrote it, so shouldn’t they KNOW instead of BELIEVING? What was their INTENTION in writing it? Can they not take any ownership whatsoever for their writing instead of giving fans half-assed, non-committal answers which raise more questions than they address? Perhaps if the execution of intent were better, there would be no questions to answer right?
Firstly, if it was not Dan’s intention for isolating Blair from Serena and Chuck why did he:
- Allow Serena to take responsibility?
- Blame Chuck on several occasions when it was just he and Blair together without an audience? Wouldn’t it have served him better to remain silent if the writers actually BELIEVED that his intention was not to drive a wedge between Blair and Serena/Chuck?
This season obviously has only one thing on its mind - to make Dair happen. Everything else has been conveniently written to enable this agenda, and this is the reason why the storylines make no sense.
