Totally. Remember when Josh Schwartz considered Vufus (and Nily) more horrifying than, say, Chenny? Then they go and do Ruvy? SMH.
Crack shipping, ship wars, convenience shipping, and disdain towards their self-righteousness aside, the writing had built an ORGANIC relationship between Rufus and Vanessa, canon and pre-pilot. They actually have scary good chemistry and sometimes they shoot scenes where their looks linger a little too long.
But what do all those matter now? Clearly the writers stopped caring about such things a long time ago. This isn’t really helping in the likability of Ivy either.
