you know what, the reason we’ve found each other is not because we were both looking for our perfect match, because we weren’t. perhaps we are suited for each other because we weren’t looking at all, and casually, we found somebody else that was wandering without a purpose like us, and ironically fit our soul so well.

blagina:

Up DisneyPixar WIP by ~un-dead-lord
I was talking to Anne the other day about Up, realizing the significance of Carl and Ellie’s chairs as a symbol for their life and love together.  The two chairs, old and weathered after so many years came to represent the everyday things, the mundane things, the “ordinary” things - simple things, like reading the paper together or deciding how to paint a room.  Chuck and Blair had plenty of fireworks for sure, but there was also the ordinary things, the sweet, compassionate things - spooning together, warm kisses and snuggling, giving us a glimpse of their married life together.
I thought about Chuck and Blair, and their ship name, and the endurance of a “chair”, and it just made me emotional.  Because a good, serviceable chair will last through anything, give you a place to rest and relax and be there to support you.  Chair.  Chuck and Blair. Carl and Ellie.  The Pixar parallel = destiny for an epic, beautiful, long-lasting and strong love.
